about
Original song written by Kimberley Smith, lyrics and chords. Produced and mastered by Buddy Johnson.
I have the upmost thanks in my heart for my pal Buddy laying this track down like this! It was just a skeleton of a song and I’d always envisioned this kind of whole sound, with drums, and horns and things, so it’s wonderful to hear it be brought to life like this.
This project we’ve embarked on to see what we can do with these songs has been amazing, and we’ve got so much more to share! Hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it. Hats off to Buddy and all the hours gone into this.
lyrics
I thought I’d had enough of these silly games,
But it seems, it seems, it seems,
They haven’t had enough of me,
And I thought I’d had enough of this losing streak,
But it seems, it seems, it seems, it hadn’t had enough of me,
I know sometimes it seems like you don’t care,
But you do, you do, you promise me that you do,
But I can’t see.
I thought I’d seen the end of those days,
But it seems, it seems, it seems,
They hadn’t seen enough of me, no.
And I know you’re wasting time,
Thinking of yourself,
But would it hurt, to think a little about me from time to time?
I know sometimes it seems like I don’t care,
But I do, I do, I do, I promise you that I do,
But you can’t see.

Sunday afternoon covers, to original self-penned songs inspired by feelings, emotions and day-to-day occurrences. Her original songs are likened to tales with a poetic twist, and “just telling you how it is.”...more
